Let's...Play...Darts!!!

Armed with my new trading strategy form last nights revelation I went into tonight's grand slam of darts group stage matches with high hope having picked some tight matches that looked likely candidates.

van Barnveld v Winstanley

This started well with post players matched to 1.71 and the odds rocking nicely between them. I was sat on a £15 green when I went for my my profit lays at 1.55. It was just as I was matched on Winstanley that he broke throw and van Barnveld never recovered. I hedged out on Winstanley at 1.17 leaving a near scratch trade at -£2.52.

Walsh v Waites

I decided to play the trade a little more conservatively for this match by not going for the extra profit after both players were matched at 1.71. I had a moment of panic as I left both players green screens even but un-hedged. I thought for a second that I had lost my green! I had no need to worry and pocketed £14.50.

Dolan v Heydon

A losing trade. Although there was a tight start to the match the market never got behind Heydon for him to be matched at 1.71. The closest he got was 1.85. I probably let my lay on Dolan run too long and I traded out for my stop loss figure of -£25.00.

Pipe v Chisnall

The trade went according to plan and I was as nervous as the players! Still finding my feet with the trade and sweating over the green I thought I'd lost earlier, I was a little trigger happy trying to trade out after my 1.71 and 1.55 lays and was guilty of chasing the price. As a result I put in an extra hedge on each player and did myself out of £20. As it was I settled for a reassuring £24.32.

O'Shea v Van Gerwen

Absolutely perfect. Great swings in prices for both players. I was out by the end of the 6th leg having netted a £41.51 green. That was a great result in just 12 minutes and great to be able to watch the final legs without any care for the result.

My work here is done!

Wade v Jenkins

I had Wade as the second leg in an accumulator and needed to lay him to protect my stake given that he was the heavy favourite I decided not to trade. As it turned out this would have been a perfect match to trade! The balance of play swung between both players who were traded to my target numbers. Wade went onto lose and my accumulator with it but my lay of him at 1.31 recovered my stake. £20.

Overall a top evening of darts which far outweighed my performance in the football that I'd spent all afternoon sweating over! A net green of £67.90 and I think I might be onto something here. Hopefully tomorrow night will bring some suitable matches to trade.
